FLORENCE-Mayor Steve Holt and City of Florence Council Members invite you to the “Spirit of Freedom Celebration” on Thursday, July 4, 2019, in McFarland Park. This patriotic celebration will include live music beginning at 4 p.m.; Déjà vu will take the stage at 6:45 p.m. as the headliner. The fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m.
Singing River Media Group, comprised of WLAY, WVNA, WMSR, WMXV, will have a live remote at McFarland Park, along with several food vendors, including Rick’s Barbecue, Fresh Lemonade by Pops Barbecue, On Thin Ice, Mobile Fish, and Dippin’ Dots. This year’s celebration is sponsored by the City of Florence and the University of North Alabama.
Alcohol is prohibited in McFarland Park, and tents will not be allowed on the main lawn.
