Funeral service for Annie Slater Murphy, 99, will be Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Zeke Haselden, Bro. Jack Bailey and Kenneth Roberts officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Red Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Murphy died on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born June 2, 1920, in Morgan County to William Grady and Hattie (Thompson) Grady. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and granny and the perfect family lady. She loved to cook and send birthday cards, also loved to read the Hartselle Enquirer and send in letters to the editor. She was a member of the Cotaco United Methodist Church. Preceding her in death were two husbands: Olney B. Slater and William Robert Murphy and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Tom Rice, Keary Rice, Keith Slater, Jason Hollaway, John Childers, Mickey Nelson and Adam Kendrick .
Honorary Pallbearers will be Noel Holmes, Joel Gurley, Stanley Roberts, Dale McCutcheon, Jerry Thomas, James Russell and J.S. Ivey.
In lieu of flowers: family requests that Memorial donations may be made to the Red Oak Cemetery.
