Frankie Lee Riddle, age 71, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, May 09, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital.
Frankie was a humble, quiet, and kind man with a servant’s heart. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. He loved his wife and his boys, and was a great grandfather. Frankie had served as a police officer with Bear Creek, Phil Campbell, Haleyville, and Red Bay. He enjoyed going on the Baptist Association’s Disaster Relief trips or accompanying the youth on mission trips. He was a volunteer with the New Bethel Fire Department and most enjoyed being Santa Claus at Shell’s Tree Farm. He loved fishing and playing guitars. He always believed in being fair and was loved by everyone who knew him..
His visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The body will lie in state from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2019 at New Bethel Baptist Church with the funeral following at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Officiating will be Bro. Greg Beasley. Burial will be at Shoals Memorial Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Belle Riddle; father, Floyd Riddle; and brother, Joby Riddle.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 13 years, Carol Riddle; sons, Kevin Riddle (wife, Angela), Joey Riddle (wife, April), Daniel Riddle; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; mother, Mary Lois Riddle Canida; sisters, Kathie Fretwell (husband, Benny), Mary Jane Davis; brother, Jimmy Riddle (wife, Patricia); and several nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Brandon Mosley, Cameron Mosley, Michael Young, Malachi Riddle, Justin Justice, and Jarrett Riddle.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Huntsville Hospital for the love and care of our family.
