Funeral service for Christine W. Peterson, 81, will be Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Carroll officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, April 19, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Peterson died on Monday, April 15, 2019. She was born December 25, 1937, in Poinsett County, Arkansas to William Thomas “Lester” Wainscott and Mildred Cleotha Keith Wainscott.
Mrs. Christine Peterson married Mr. Richard “Pete” Peterson on October 29,1960, in Crocker, Missouri. In 1975, they moved their family to Decatur, Alabama. As a family, they enjoyed square dancing, clogging, and family time. Mrs. Peterson volunteered at West Morgan School as a nursing assistant and room-mother, helping out however needed. Everything she did was centered around her husband, five daughters and then her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She dearly loved her family. In her spare time, Mrs. Peterson enjoyed reading, working puzzles and studying every subject to learn as much as she could. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who was always willing to listen and share what she had to help those in need.
