FLORENCE-The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Rosenbaum House is a Florence icon. Built in 1939 for Stanley and Mildred Rosenbaum, this house is one of the best examples of Usonian architecture in the nation. On March 21 at 6:00 PM Don Lambert RosenBaum will give a presentation in the gift shop of the home located at 541 Riverview Drive in Florence.  This will be the 3rd presentation in a year-long series about historic preservation in Florence.
Usonian architecture—a Frank Lloyd Wright concept—relies on an organic method of building. Built into and out of the ground, Usonian architecture drew from its natural surroundings and transformed the home space with natural light, an open floor plan, and a horizontal layout that stretched the imagination of what a house could be. Location:  Rosenbaum House Ticketing Area– will explore the restoration of the Rosenbaum House that took place in the early 2000’s by the principle architect of the project, Don Lambert. After the presentation, there will be a walk through of the house.
