Audine Yancey – Obituary

Audine Yancey, of Corinth, MS passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 in Corinth. She was born in Itawamba County, MS to the late Charles Nathaniel and Mamie Samples Moss, attended Wheeler Grove Baptist Church and retired after 27 years with ITT. Audine enjoyed reading, singing, crocheting, playing with her faithful companion Molly and sitting in her backyard watching birds but her greatest love was her family and friends and she enjoyed visiting and spending time with them. She will forever be remembered in the hearts of those she loved. Visitation is scheduled from 11 am till service time Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Magnolia Funeral Home. A celebration of Audine’s life will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories officiated by Charlie Browning. Interment will follow in Hinkle Cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements. Those left to honor Audine’s memory include her daughter: Patricia Y. Turner of Corinth, MS; her grandchildren: Anna Clarice Turner Bullock and husband Chris of Rienzi, MS and John Clayton Turner and wife Lorrie of Kossuth, MS; her great grandchildren: Morgan Julianna Floyd and Joel Christopher Bullock; her sisters: Florence Gann of Burnsville, MS, Earline Woodruff (Hayden) of Cairo, MS and Elnora “Johnnie” Mayo of Nettleton, MS; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Byran “Jack” Yancey; her parents: Charles Nathaniel and Mamie Samples Moss; her sisters: Lucille Phifer (L.D.), Martha Kennedy (Ralph), and Virginia Pierce (Buford); and her brothers-in-law: Houston Gann and James Mayo.
