Timothy “Tim” Dale Reed, 65, of Phil Campbell, AL passed away on Friday February 15, 2019.
Tim earned a Masters in Biology from Auburn University and a PhD in Entomology from Clemson University. He worked as an Extension Entomologist for Cotton and Soybeans at Auburn University Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology. Prior to that he worked as a county agent for the Extension service in the Covington and Franklin Counties where he helped numerous farmers.
Visitation will be held at Mountain View Baptist Church in Phil Campbell today, February 17, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. The funeral will also be held at Mountain View on Monday February 18th at 11 a.m. with Bro. Sammy Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the adjourning church cemetery.
Tim Reed was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Regenia Reed of Caddo, AL.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 33 years, Joy Kimbrough Reed; his son, Andrew (Alli); his daughter, Caitlin (Scott Maijala); his brothers, Dwain Reed and Joel Reed; and Elizabeth (Ned Jones); many nieces and nephews, and a host of colleagues and friends.
