Billy Merrill Newell, 83, of Rogersville passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018 at his residence.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 27th, 2018 from 12 – 2 at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the chapel with Charles Vaughn and Connor Turpin officiating. Burial will be in Civitan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tracy Whitley, Devin Hooie, Mike Newell, Steve English, Gerald Whitley, David McCrary and Hunter Hooie, honorary.
Mr. Newell was preceded in death by his parents, C.W. and Mamie Newell; wife, Wanda Morgan Newell; siblings, Bud (C.C.) Newell, Pauline English and Gerry Young. He is survived by his children, Melissa (Alan) Hooie and Michael Newell; grandchildren, Hunter Hooie and Devin Hooie; sisters, Erlene Fleed, Jean McCrary and Brenda Myrick; numerous nieces and nephews.
