Wendell C. Garrison, 80, died Friday, December 14, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 4, 1938 in Franklin County, AL to Johnny Garrison and Lola Rutherford Garrison. He was a construction worker for twenty years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Services will be Sunday, December 16, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Scott Webster officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife – Opelene Garrison, Red Bay, AL; four sons – Ricky Garrison (Phyllis) Red Bay, AL, Larry Garrison (Gidget) Tupelo, MS, Terry Garrison and Joel Garrison, both of Red Bay, AL; eight grandchildren – Ricky Garrison, Jr., Clint Garrison, Brittany Bradford, Zack Garrison, Colin Garrison, Cody Garrison, Luke Garrison and Grant Garrison; five great-grandchildren; one brother – Harold Garrison, Red Bay, AL and one sister – Laura Brewer, Hamilton, AL.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 16, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
