Robert Edwin (Ed) Miller
He was born April 18, 1938 in Detroit, MI. One of nine children of the late Wells and Georgia Leathers Miller.
Ed retired form Phillips Petroleum and moved to Tennessee in 1986. He worked as a consultant at Tennessee Metal Specialty in Huntingdon, TN. When Tennessee Metals closed, he obtained his Real Estate license and was associated with Town and Country Realtors for 17 years before retiring in 2014.
He loved telling stories, history, his family, (especially he loved his Linda) friends, antiques and digging in someone’s attic. He was instrumental in the formation of the Highway 70 Sale. Ed never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He was always wanting to help someone in need. Ed was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his love, Linda, of 20 years, six children, Michael (Kim) of Michigan, Melissa (Otis) Pikeville, KY, Juliane (David) of Huntersville, TN, Mathew of Michigan, Andrew (Jen) of Jackson, TN, Tim of Fort Smith, AR, eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren, five brothers, Don, Tom, George, David, Leonard and one sister Marilyn Jeffreys. He was preceded in death a sister Clarice and one brother John Miller.
SERVICES: Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 1:00PM in the chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Bruce Dorris officiating. The family will be receiving friends Sunday from 11:00AM until service time at 1:00PM. Interment will follow in Carroll County Memorial Gardens.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Currie Johnston, Doug Wadley, Mike Rowland, Jim Gammon, Mickey Hamilton and Mark Barnes.
The family has requested the Faith Sunday School Class sit as a group.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorial contributions be directed to Mission to Missionaries at Eden Ridge, P. O. Box 1664, Fairfield Glade, TN 38558.
