William Allie Mixon, 77 of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was born January 19, 1941 to Wayne and Lois Lambert Mixon in Ambrose, GA. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. In 2010, he moved back to Haleyville, AL from Bakersfield, CA.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, where the Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. . Dr. Ron Horton, Terry Gravitt, Bubba Gravitt, and Don Adams will officiate the service.
William is survived by his Sister, Yvonne Zagorac of Homosassa, FL; daughters, Cynthia King of Birmingham, Allison (Bobby) Brinson of Haleyville, Vanessa (Barry) Bennett of Haleyville, and Lisa (James) Izzell of Garner, NC; grandchildren Katey (Blake), Caroline, William, Courtney (Trent), Ally, Jennifer, Dorothy, Sarah, Hannah, and Lydia; great-grandchildren, Annaleigh, Parker, and Bruce; and nieces and nephews, Susan, Don, Kim, and Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his Son, William Allie Mixon, Jr. ; and his parents.
