A Celebration of Life service for Jerrod Lee Johnson, 38 of Oxford, MS will be Friday, November 9, 2018 at 1:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Brodie McEwen will officate the service. Interment will follow at Dogwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2018 from 11:00 A M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born June 24, 1980 in Selmer, TN to Willie Lee Johnson and Tracy McEwen Johnson. He was of the undenominational faith. He lived in Dogwood Cottage at North MS Regional Center in Oxford, MS. #1, the very best, most unique, greatest in the world – This is Jerrod Johnson. Jerrod is survived by his mother, Tracy McEwen Johnson of Burnsville, MS; his step-father, Jimmy Bain of Burnsville, MS; his sister, Jayme Johnson of Burnsville, MS; his step-sisters, Daphne Bain of Glen, MS and Dena Bain of Glen, MS; his uncles, Gerld Johnson (Brenda) of Rienzi, MS, Paul Spoon of Burnsville, MS and Brodie McEwen (Dimple) of Glen, MS; his aunt, Dean McEwen of Corinth, MS; his nieces, Chloe Isabella Butler and Adranna Rhae Butler; his nephews, Rhett Dillinger Butler and Jay Coln; the doctors, nurses and staff at North MS Regional Center; numerous cousins, other relatives, caregivers and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Lee Johnson; his maternal grandfather, Thomas Ray “Buster” McEwen; his maternal grandmother, Martha Marie McEwen; paternal grandmother, Amy Davis; sister, Jorja Erin Butler; his uncles, Elvin Johnson, Jr. and Jerry McEwen; and his aunts, Marie Spoon, Nella Lambert and Wanda Strickland (Harris). Pallbearers will be Stuart McEwen, Jay Lambert, Wade Cornelius, Ross Headrick, Grant Headrick, Riley Roberson and Reed Roberson. Honorary pallbearer will be Rhett Butler. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Jerrod Lee Johnson.
