Mr. Russell Oney Sr., 86, Ozark, Mo. passed away Wednesday at his residence. He was born on July 21, 1932 in Carter, Kentucky. He moved to Alabama in 1976. Mr. Oney was a deacon and member of Lake City Assembly of God. He loved to fish, gardening and loved the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents William Wyatt Oney and Alice May Oney, eight siblings and one granddaughter- Sherry Slaman.
He is survived by his wife; Barbara Oney, 2 sons-Russell Oney Jr.(Susan) and R. Michael Oney(Sharon); two daughters-Judy Nobles(David) and Ann Reeves(Dennis); grandchildren -Tracy Millikan (Grant Birge),Greg Slaman (Crystal), Danielle Lookingbill (Roy), Rusty Glines (Jennifer), Drew Campbell (Bree Kellum), Hannah Vaughn(Weston), Grace Oney (Matthew Kirsch), Christian Oney, Amanda Taylor (David), Joseph Oney (Whitney) Colleen Bourne (Eric) and Abby Oney, great grandchildren-Jessica Hogan (Casey), Megan Millikan (Jayne Mack), Christopher Shamp, Amber Slaman, Lindsey Slaman, Curtis Slaman, Alexis Glines, Kalyn Heinle, Morgan Lambert, Savanna Vaughn, Phoenix Vaughn.

The Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 10:00am at Carr Funeral Home with Stan Broadus officiating. The visitation will be Monday from 6:00pm till 8:00pm at the funeral home. The interment will be in Crestview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Lake City Assembly of God.
