It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Teresa Dean Hardin Newton shares with you her passing. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the age of 66. She died peacefully at her residence in Florence. Teresa was a member of Collins Chapel Baptist Church in Jemison, Alabama. She loved life, spending time with family and friends, and her beloved bulldogs. She was a 1970 graduate of Coffee High School and attended Muscle Shoals Technical College where she studied Business. Teresa was a successful Realtor in the Shoals and Clanton, Alabama for many years.

Teresa was preceded in death by her father, Robert Coleman Hardin, Sr.; grandparents, Louis and Maude Hardin, and Lee and Mary Laster.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Laster Hardin; brothers, Bob Hardin, Jr. (Sandra), Tommy Hardin (Kelly), and Tony Hardin (Yana); sister, Sherry Dickerscheid (Paul); three sweet girls who knew her as MawMaw; 10 nieces and nephews,10 great-nieces and nephews; and David Thompson.

By the grace of God, Teresa found David Thompson, the love of her life. He brought so much joy and happiness into her life; and for that we are eternally grateful. She gave her heart to the Lord at an early age. If she could she would ask you not to let a day go by without knowing where you will spend eternity because none of us are promised tomorrow.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Jim Trousdale and Chris Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery, Leighton, AL.

Pallbearers will be Melvin Davis, Chris Hardin, Michael Dickerscheid, Jay Dickerscheid, Cole Hardin, and Bryant Hardin.
