Katherine Downs Maples age 90 of Toney, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018. Mrs. Maples was born December 12, 1927 in Limestone County, AL to William M. McCown and Minnie Jackson McCown.
Services will be Sunday, August 12, 2018 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Marco Shaw officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Preceded in death by two husbands, J.B. Downs and P.E. Maples; four children, Sandra Powers, Cathy Patterson, Larry Downs and Gregory Downs.
Survived by one daughter, Linda Browning; seven grandchildren, Ginger Sanchez and husband, Aaron, Allison Mitchell, Melissa Vinson, Amanda Bartleson and husband, Mason, Katrina Brogan and husband, Shawn, Gregory Browning and Jason Powers; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Alfred McCown and wife, Elizabeth; several step-children, step-grandchildren and other family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Zack Lyman, Colton Sanchez, Cade Sanchez, Dylan Powers, Greg Browning and Ryan Luna.
