Funeral for George “Jack” Jackson Wakefield, 85, of Danville, AL, will be July 16, 2018, 11am, at Parkway Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Wakefield, Luther Wakefield, and Grayson Wakefield officiating. Internment at East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors July 15, 6-9 pm,
Mr. Wakefield, who died July 12, 2018 at his home in Danville, was born December 16, 1932 to Luther Andrew and Mary Jane Ward Wakefield. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Arvid Wakefield; three brothers; and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Blevins Wakefield; three sons, Ronald (JoAnne) Wakefield of Lincoln Park, MI, Mark (Deborah) Wakefield of Prattville, AL, and Luther (Karen) Wakefield of Danville, AL; one daughter Rhonda Barton of Danville, AL; one daughter-in-law Dawn Hinson Wakefield; eleven grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
