Bobbye Ruth Stanford – Obituary

 Bobbye Ruth Stanford, 85, resident of the Ripley Community and beloved aunt, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully Thursday evening March 22, 2018 at the Resthaven Health & Rehabilitation in Ripley following a brief illness.
Funeral Services honoring the Life of Ms. Stanford will be at 2 PM Sunday March 25 in The Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Baker officiating assisted by Bro. Michael Baker. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery near Ripley.
Born November 13, 1932 in Tippah County, she was the daughter of the late Ben F. and Dorothy Hogue Stanford. Ms. Stanford was a graduate of the Buena Vista High School in Tippah County and was a devoted member of Fellowship Baptist Church as long as health permitted.
She moved to Memphis at an early age where she resided for over 50 years and was a valued employee of Folk’s Folly Restaurant for over 20 years.
An avid traveler, Ms. Stanford was fortunate to have traveled extensively and during her long life had aquired many good friends. She was a very social person and never missed an opportunity to share quality time with family and friends. Learning to fly airplanes and growing flowers were favorite pastimes. The love she gave to her family will be missed by all.

Visitation will be today from 12 Noon until service time at The Ripley Funeral Home.
Those left to cherish her memory include her nephew, David Medlin (Shelia) of Tupelo, one great niece, Suzanne Cruea (Josh) of Lexington, SC, two great great nieces, Izzie and Maddie Cruea of Lexington, SC and her special cousin and best friend, Lula Rose of Ripley.
Ms. Stanford was also preceded in death by her sister and brother in law , Marie and Lecoy Medlin.
