Nellie Yvonne Humphres – Obituary

Nellie Yvonne Humphres, 83, died Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Generations of Red Bay. She was born in Franklin County, Al to James Jefferson and Dona Isabelle Jackson Holland. She was retired from Wrangler as an inspector and was a member of Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 8, 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. J.C. Blackburn officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include three sons-Ralph Humphres (Joan) and Rodney Humphres (Vicki) all of Haleyville and Jerry Humphries (Annette) of Red Bay; five grandchildren-Angela Lyons, Amy Melson, Veronica Strickland, Daniel Humphries and Allison Humphres; nine great-grandchildren and one brother-Phona Ray Holland.

She was preceded in death by her husband-Sidney Humphres; a granddaughter-Miranda McDuffa; her parents; one brother-Roy Holland and three sisters-Roxie Singleton, Clarice Jackson and Cleta Ozbirn.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Cagle, Logan Cagle, Daniel Humphries, Greg Strickland, David Hyde and Steven Lee Singleton.

Visitation will be Monday, January 8, 9-11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
