Sarah “Granny” Nichols Burroughs – Obituary

Sarah “Granny” Nichols Burroughs, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Sarah was born October 11, 1935 in Lynnville, Tennessee to the late Sank Nichols and the late Mable Marshall Nichols.

Granny was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She had a heart as big as the state of Tennessee, which she loved dearly. She enjoyed spending her time watching football, traveling, cooking, and gardening. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is tenderly loved and will be forever missed.

Granny is survived by her daughter: Judy (Richard) Pettus; sons: Tommy (Lorinda) Adams, Keith (Kim) Burroughs, and Kendall Burroughs; sisters: Peggy McNeece and Shirley Cummins; and several well loved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sarah is preceded by her Husband: Jon R. Burroughs; parents: Sank and Mable Nichols; son: Jerry “Bugs” Green; and Daughter-in-law: Melody Stoops Green.

The family will visit with friends Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee.
