Sammy Leon Hatton – Obituary

Sammy Leon Hatton, 17, passed away on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017. He was a senior at Tharptown High School and particularly enjoyed studying science. He had worked at McDonalds at Love’s and enjoyed school, friends, and family. He attended the Baptist church.

Visitation for Sammy will be today from 2 until 4 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. The service will begin at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Officiating will be Stanley Hargett.

Sammy is survived by his parents father, Sammy Hatton, and his mother, Charlotte Myrick Hatton. He is also survived by his grandparents, Milton and Pam Hatton, and grandmother, Lela Dawson. Surviving him are also uncles, aunts, and cousins, Frankie Hatton (Sharon), Julie Dawson, Summer Green (Chad), Autumn Hatton, Angie Nix (Craig), Jake Bradford, Heather Hatton, Haley Hatton, Heath Hatton, Dru Bradford, Dakota Green, Lilly Green, Boots, Kara Nix, and Wade Nix. Also surviving him are friends including his teachers and particularly the Tharptown seniors of 2018.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Danielle Hatton, and his grandfather, Bobby Dawson.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
