Clara Ruth Glidwell Fiessinger age 74 passed away Friday morning September 22, 2017 at her home.
She was born January 23, 1943 in Hardeman County, and reared in Jackson, the daughter of the late James Louis and Maude Victoria Buchanan Glidwell. She went to school in Madison County and graduated from Beech Bluff High School. She worked at Dollar General in Jackson as assistant manager and later at Regional Hospital as custodian. She loved gardening, flowers and her purple martins. She moved to Henderson in 1990. She was Methodist in belief.
She is survived by a cousin and caregiver, Mary Mathers of Henderson; a sister, Carolyn Roach of Jackson; two great nephews, Randy Barnes of Memphis and Jordan Currie of Jackson and also care-helpers, Richard and Flois Gabay.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Rick Seaton officiating. Burial will follow in Big Springs Cemetery at Medon, TN.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Saturday.
