Candy Sue Pitts 69, of Athens,AL died Friday, September 01, 2017 at Athens-Limestone Hospital, Athens, Alabama.
Born Tuesday, November 04, 1947 in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Salisbury and Beatrice Dean Salisbury . She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Pitts, daughter Lisa Renee Smith and brother Richard Salisbury.
She was a member of New Oakland Independent Baptist Church and a member of The Eastern Star of Lewisburg TN. She loved her Granddaughter and Great Grandbabies. She loved to sing.
She is survived by one Granddaughter: Breanna Smith of Ardmore TN, two Great Grandchildren: Christopher Jacob Cruz and Elisabeth Renee Cruz, Step-son: Lance Pitts of Athens AL, two step-grandsons: Liam Pitts of Athens and Laten A Pitts of Athens AL, Sister: Betty (Richard) Councilman of Lewisburg TN, Nephew: Seth Widner, Mother-in law: Marie Pitts and devoted friends: Linda (Jim) Kelly of Athens AL. and James Choate of Ardmore AL.
Memorial services will be held at New Oakland Independent Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:00 P.M. on September 9, 2017, with visitation from 2:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. at the Church.
