Kenneth Samuel “Sam” Glover – Obituary

Kenneth Samuel “Sam” Glover age 76 of Sumiton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday August 18, 2017.
He was a member and Elder of Sumiton Church of God. For 35 years, he held Sunday services at Shadescrest Health Care in Jasper. He was founder of Glover Drugs, and had recently been recognized and awarded for 50 years in the pharmacy business. He was a graduate of Howard College (now Samford University). He was also known by everyone for his kindness and wonderful sense of humor.
Funeral services will be held Sunday August 20, 2017 at 6:00 pm at Sumiton Church of God. Rev. Lane Sargent and Pastor Victor Massey will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-6 pm at the church. Burial will be Monday at 10:00 am at Morgan Cemetery in Sumiton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Rose Glover and his sister Peggy Glover.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Sarah Campbell Glover; his children, Kenneth S. “Ken” Glover II, Beth Sargent (Jeff) and Martin Glover (Tyra); daughter in law, Teresa Glover; grandchildren, Kenneth S. “Kent” Glover III (Kayla), Maggie Glover, Mary Kathryn Sargent, Carson Sargent, Shazi Glover and Cash Glover; brother, Jimmy Glover (Nell); sister, Patsy Stone (David); his brothers and sisters in law; his favorite pet, Ellie; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
