A Celebration of Life for Bessie Faye Mullins, 79 of Walnut, MS, will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in Walnut, MS. The service will be officiated by Bro. Gary Porterfield and Bro. W.C. Alexander. Visitation will be Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 5:00 P M to 9:00 P M at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Mrs. Mullins passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at MS Care Center in Corinth, MS. Bessie Faye was born February 18, 1938 in Alcorn County, MS to Cap and Annie Earnest Mathis. She worked in years past as a press operator in the press department at Halls of MS and was of the Methodist faith and a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Jackie Wayne Mullins of Walnut, MS; her five grandchildren, Shaun Mullins, Benji Mullins, Rusty Mullins, Brandie Mullins Childs and Mandy Mullins Watkins; her ten great-grandchildren, Anna Marie Mullins, Miller Mullins, Riley Mullins, Jordan Mullins, Coy Childs, Luke Childs, Hannah Watkins, A.J. Watkins, Emma Alsup and Jakely Mullins: one great-great-granddaughter, Elsie Faye Mullins: sister-in-law, Shirley Mathis of Walnut, MS; other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Tommy Mullins, her son, Rickey Lee Mullins; her father, Cap Mathis; her mother Annie Earnest Mullins; her brothers, W.L. Mathis and wife Retha and J.E. Mathis; twin sister, Evelyn Mae Jackson and husband A.W. and sister, Jewel Sexton and husband Hines. Pallbearers will be Shaun Mullins, Benji Mullins, Mickey Mathis, Neeley Mathis, John Ford Mathis and Joey Childs. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Bessie Faye Mullins.
