Marjorie Brown Kennedy – Obituary

Marjorie Brown Kennedy, age 95, of Nashville and formerly of Maury County, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Bethany Health and Rehab in Nashville.

Marjorie was born on November 20, 1921 in Columbia, Tennessee to George Brown and Bola Gilliam Brown. She was the widow of Jack S. Kennedy. She was educated in Maury County, being a 1940 graduate of Central High School. Mrs. Kennedy was a real estate agent working in the Hendersonville and Nashville areas. She was a member of Holiday Heights Baptist Church. She was a member of the Post 82 VFW and the American Legion Auxiliary. Her children remember that she was a loving mother who will be greatly missed.

Marjorie is survived by her beloved children: Patricia (Felix) Bivens of Fayetteville, Edwin (Sheila) Kennedy of Nashville and David (Peggy Daniel) Kennedy of Nashville; and grandchildren: Cassandra (Nick) Smith, Felicia Bivens, Skip Bivens, Christopher (Melissa) Kennedy, Jack S. (Leigh) Kennedy, III and Kim Kennedy. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her sons: Jack S. Kennedy, Jr. and Allan B. Kennedy.

Funeral services for Marjorie will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 12 Noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
