SHEFFIELD-The Tennessee River Eye Clinic held their grand opening and open house on Friday, April 28.  The Tennessee River Eye Clinic is located at 1110 S. Montgomery Avenue in Sheffield.
The ribbon cutting, sponsored by the Shoals Chamber was held in front of the new building at 8:00 A.M. on Friday. Â Friends and family were on hand to help with the celebration.
Now a little about Tennessee River Eye Clinic by Tennessee River Eye Clinic:
“In 1999 Dr Kassels opened Tennessee River Eye Clinic in the same space used by previous ophthalmologists since the 1970s. Dr Kassels practices comprehensive ophthalmology including eye examinations, glaucoma treatment, cataract surgery with specialty lenses, and coordination of more complex care. Our original location had become quite crowded with paper charts, support staff, and new equipment. As technology advanced, our diagnostic and treatment devices grew to include YAG, Argon, and SLT lasers, Ocular Coherence Tomography scanners, Automated Visual Fields, and Corneal Topographers. We needed more room to house today’s technology.
Our most treasured assets are the caring, professional staff who answer the phone, check you in, perform your diagnostic testing, and work with your insurance company to get the care you have paid for. Our technicians will make you feel like you are with family during your visit. They take the time to explain all aspects of your exam. They were out of room, too!
In our new location we have space to grow again! TREC SPECS, our optical dispensary, opened this month. Our optician, Glenda Breedwell, has years of experience fitting glasses. We have partnered with HOYA and Ophthal-mic Dispensing Services to provide quality eyewear, progressive bifocals that work, and a lower price than you may expect. We plan to increase services further over the coming months. Come see us!”
