Mrs. Lyverne Samples, age 87, of Bethsaida Road, Boaz died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center South.
Service will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home. McRae Funeral Home is directing.
Mrs. Samples was born in Alabama on May 30, 1929 to Asa & Izora Kemp Worthy. She was a seamstress with the H.D. Lee Company.
Mrs. Samples is survived her Husband of almost 69 years: Clifford Samples of Boaz, Son & Daughter-in-Law: Ray & Kathey Samples of Grant, Daughters & Sons-in-Law: Shelia & Gary Worley, Judy & Dan Floyd and Brenda & Randall Brewster all of Boaz, Grandchildren: Chris Choat, Jennifer (Jason) Cooper, Rachel Worley, Emily (Bryan) Taylor, Jessica (Logan) Campbell, and Josh Floyd, 8 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Parents: Asa & Izora Worthy and Brother: Lowell (Jimmy) Worthy. Pallbearers will be Josh Floyd, Chris Choat, Jason Cooper, Bryan Taylor, Logan Campbell and Phillip Samples. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alacare Home Health, Albertville Rehab Select and the MMCS 3rd floor nurses.
