Marla Jean Wynne, age 52, of Florence, died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at ECM Hospital. Marla was a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ and an honors graduate of Mars Hill Bible School in 1982.
Visitation will be Friday, January 13, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with David Sain officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Preceding her in death was her father, William T. Wynne; brother, William Michael Wynne; paternal grandparents, John B. and Dorothy G. Wynne of Florence; maternal grandparents, Isaac Milford and Bessie M. Minor of Parrish, AL; and Uncle Donald Minor of Saraland, AL.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Minor Wynne of Florence; uncle, Roger (Debbie) Minor of Parrish, AL; aunts, Gail (Ray) Minor Brunner of Bessemer, AL, Virginia (Jim) Minor Rushing of Lafayette, GA, Barbara (Tom) Williams of Springfield, VA; her much loved cousins and devoted caregivers, Vanessa Armstead, Kristi Krieger, and Amy Weems.
Pallbearers will be her fellow classmates of 1982, Miles Stutts, Lenis McGee, Charlie Lauderdale, Greg Boren, Scott Holley, and Tyler Swiney.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Mars Hill Class of 1982.
Memorials may be made to Mars Hill Bible School.
