Sue Danley Owens – Obituary

Sue Danley Owens, 82, of Florence, AL passed away January 9, 2017, at Florence Nursing and Rehab. Mrs. Owens was a retired garment inspector with Genesco, a cashier with Donnie’s Marker, and a member of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Owens is survived by her daughter, Barbara Clemons and husband Kenneth, and by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by parents James Danley and Reba Richardson Danley; husband Jessie “Noot” Owens; brother Leon Danley; and sister Lorene Pitts.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 12:30-2:30 at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 P.M. with Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jason Danley, Michael Danley, Jonah Danley, Leroy Gamble, Jr., Tommy Coker, and Heath Pitts. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Pitts, Luke White, Gary Gamble, Leroy Gamble, Heath Gamble, and J.B. Bradley.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Hollis and staff and Florence Nursing & Rehab staff for their great care during this time.
