The Shoals Chamber was on hand to help with the celebration as well as friends and family.  There was a ribbon cutting, some good food and an open house.

Now a little about Bluewater Institute for Massage by Bluewater:

“There are only 20 State Board approved massage schools in all of Alabama, and we feel so honored to be located in Sheffield — especially with the redevelopment! Over the next couple years, the demand for licensed massage therapists is expected to climb by 25% as more and more people are seeking out massage therapy as a form of alternative healthcare (according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics) .
Our mission at the Bluewater Institute for Massage Therapy is to provide our students with the best training and education possible in the field of massage therapy according to rules and regulations set by the Alabama State Board of Massage Therapy. To accomplish this, we provide curriculum which includes theory, intensive classroom education, guided practice, supervised clinical practicum, and public service. We have taken a leading role in the development of massage therapy standards, and have created a healthy environment for learning and practicing as a massage professional. At BIMT, we take pride in the efficacy of our program, which is designed to meet the demands of the ever emerging field of massage therapy. Our program is 650 hours over the course of 9 months. We limit our classroom size to 8:1 ratio because we feel quality supervised one/one instruction per student is vital in the training.”
