100019-MGUNTERSVILLE-ALEA’s Marine Patrol Division wishes to ask all boaters on Lake Guntersville to use extreme caution in the area of the B.B. Comer Bridge construction project, located at mile marker 385.91 on the Tennessee River, where Alabama 35 crosses between Scottsboro and Section. Troopers remind boaters to observe and follow all No Wake/Idle Speed Regulatory Markers above and below the bridge area. Construction and demolition work is ongoing six days per week, Monday through Saturday.

Additionally, boaters using the Comer Bridge Boat Ramp on the east bank of the river should approach the facility at the slowest speed possible, while being extra vigilant for commercial boating traffic using the area as part of the construction and demolition processes.

For more information, please contact ALEA’s Marine Patrol Northern District Office at (256) 268-2570.
