TUSCUMBIA, Ala. … Photography, furniture and mixed media were the favorite pieces of opening-day visitors to ArtWorks 2012, the annual member-artists show at the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art, 511 N. Water St., Tuscumbia.
Those who attended the recent opening reception voted for the pieces they liked the best. The four People’s Choice winners are Joe Romans, “Rainbow Falls,” photography; Stuart Chappell, “Campeche Chair,” cherry furniture; Valerie Romans, “Pretty Stalker,” photography; H. Scott Grammer, “Fall River Mill,” mixed media.
Art Works 2012 illustrates the vast range of talent and innovation by artists in northwest Alabama. It will be at the museum through Friday, Sept. 7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-3 p.m. Sundays.
