James “Jim” Cleveland Peden Jr. – Obituary

jamesJames “Jim” Cleveland Peden Jr., age 74, passed away at home Nov. 25, 2015, after fighting cancer for over a year. Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 27, from 6-8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m. at River Bend Church of Christ Cemetery.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Grace Peden; brother, Arthur Peden; and grandson, Michael Cory Peden.
He is survived by his wife of almost 49 years and the love of his life, Margie Alice Peden; son, Mike Peden; daughters, Jennifer (Michael) Jones and Crystal (Adam) Kamerer; granddaughter, Nora Nunley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of River Bend church of Christ and the Local 320 Union of Operating Engineers. He was an amazing husband and daddy who will be greatly missed. He loved gardening in Woodland and all animals, especially his cats and grand-dog, Baby. He was a man who worked hard, loved his family and had a great sense of humor. He could always be counted on to help others.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
