ATHENS-Learn how to avoid conflict and protect yourself against attackers. You will appreciate and learn from this course whether you are a teen or in your golden years. Greg Parnell of the Athens Police Department will share some common sense advice for defending yourself and train you in some basic practical moves.
This class is presented by one of Athens City Police and is free. The class is limited to
the first 20 participants. The cost is free but donations will be accepted for The Child Advocacy Center. The classes will be held September 17, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 9:00pm and will be held in the Methodist Church gym located at 16479 Lucas Ferry Road in Athens.
Some of the things you demonstrated b will be personal safety, escape techniques, basic weapon defense and disarm and counter attack.
