Sue Burkhart Millner – Obituary

SueSue Burkhart Millner, 83, passed away on June 18, 2013. She was born on July 18, 1929 in Smith, Kentucky, the daughter of Pope M. and Grace Cowan Burkhart. She attended Gradwohl School of Medical Technology in St. Louis Missouri and began working as a Medical Technologist.
She married Gordon D. Millner on September 2, 1950 in Harlan, Kentucky. They had one daughter, Ann Millner. They lived and worked in Harrogate, Clarksville and Nashville, Tennessee and retired to their farm at Reagan, Tennessee. Sue was active in the Presbyterian Church and the Home Demonstration Club in the community. She loved antiquing, gardening, cooking, sewing and a range of crafts including making dolls, rugs, quilts, afghans, baskets, and ornaments.
Sue is survived by her daughter, F Ann Millner; brother, Pope Edward (Donna) Burkhart; and sister, Patricia A. Kamper and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Marl Bluff Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington, Tennessee.
