ZIP CITY-The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release concerning the arrest of a uspect who has been charged with Animal Cruelty and several drug charges:
“On Monday, April 8, at around 10:00 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a video circulating on social media that displayed animal cruelty of a dog.
Our investigators began to look into this incident and subsequently obtained a search warrant for an address in the Zip City community in Lauderdale County. Upon execution of the search warrant the offender was arrested and charged with animal cruelty, unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd and possession of drug paraphernalia. The dog shown in the video was rescued and turned over to the Florence/Lauderdale Animal Shelter.
Arrested: Nathaniel Shane Brewster, 20 years old, Florence, AL. Bond: $1,500.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.”
