Zella Mae Kidd, age 91, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020. A private family service will be held on Thursday December 10. Burial will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct services. Mrs. Kidd was a 1946 graduate of Crossville High School. She was a member of Bellevue Methodist Church. She had work the majority of her career as an administrative assistant. After retirement, she volunteered as a Pink Lady at Gadsden Regional Medical Center and later worked part-time as a receptionist at Health South Rehab. She is preceded in death by her husband Elmus Kidd; granddaughter Bridgett Kidd Brunson; her parents, and her siblings. She is survived by her children, W.E. “Sonny” Kidd, Jr. (Alice) and Alicia Helms (Mac); grandchildren Tony Kidd (Alicia), Michael Helms (Amanda), and Jay Helms (Cassie); nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff of Gadsden Regional Medical Center, and the specialty Care Unit at Meadowood Retirement Village.
