Zane Ballard Bigman (Ash) died quietly at his Plantersville residence on Nov. 8, 2024. He was 48 yrs old. Born at Fort McDowell Indian Reservation in Page, Arizona, his father was the late Edward Sullivan Bigman and his mother, who survives is Katherine Castille Bigman Clanton. Zane made his way to the Tupelo area 2 years ago and was working for Cooper Tire/Goodyear at the time of his death. Zane, a Native American Indian, was a devout believer/participant in the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints (Mormon). He traveled the USA most of his life doing volunteer work as a means to share his faith. A master landscaper, he would often do landscaping jobs as he traveled to provide the resources for his missionary work, leaving yards immaculate and well groomed. A pianist and organist, Zane loved making music, listening to all genres of music and singing with the voice of an angel. He was a horticulture graduate of Brigham Young University and fan like his twin sister of Virginia Tech. He now is in the hands of his loving Heavenly Father.
The family held a private local service at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo. Zane will be buried on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona.
He is survived by his mother, Katherine Clanton; a brother, Grant Bigman; a sister Rolaine Bearthart of the Chipaway Indian Reservation in Wisconsin; and his twin sister, Zeann Begay of Sandy, Utah; his husband, James Ash and his extended family and several nieces and nephews.
