Mrs. Zadie Nell Wells Amberson, age 99, of Boaz, Alabama, died on Monday, December 23, 2024, in Crossville Health and Rehab.
Funeral service will be held at eleven o’clock am on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the First Baptist Church Boaz with Bro. Keith Dodd officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with no graveside service. Visitation will be on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 9:30 am until service time at the church.
Mrs. Amberson was born in Boaz, Alabama on October 25, 1925, to James Zachariah & Zadie Florence Ray Wells. She was a homemaker and an active member of First Baptist Church Boaz, and many civic activities throughout the city. She had a true servant’s heart.
Mrs. Amberson is survived by her Sons & Daughters-in-Law: Phillip Hughes & Virginia Amberson of Boaz, James Dana & Emily Amberson of Hartselle and William Ray & Karen Amberson of Boaz,
Grandchildren: Avril & Peter Amberson-Smith, Jill & Hunter Mintz, Hughes & Jennifer Amberson, Ashley & Jarrod Hand, and Will & Paige Amberson, Great Grandchildren: Zadie Mintz, Zoie Mintz, Catherine Amberson, Alice Amberson, Sylvie Rae Hand, Rhett James Hand, Elijah Ray Amberson and special niece: Mary Wells Maze Malone. She was preceded in death by her Parents: James Zachariah & Zadie Florence Wells, Husband: William Hughes “Bill” Amberson and 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
The pallbearers will be Hughes Amberson, Will Amberson, Hunter Mintz, and Jarrod Hand.
