Zachary Hawkins left this world to meet the Lord on September 1, 2022, after a brief illness. Zachary was a loving and caring soul who dearly loved his family, his friends and was especially fond of animals, embracing God’s Creation in all of His benign manifestations. Always desiring to protect and esteem the gift of life, Zach earned a degree in Nursing, and also pursued studies in History and Philosophy. His varied educational interests were reflected in his avid and varied reading pursuits, ranging from Russian Literature to scientific tomes and philosophical treatises. He was always open to hearing the trials and travails of those close to him. His tender heart and open arms provided comfort to so many during the course of his short life and continue to do so from his newly acquired vantage point in Paradise.
Preceding him in passing are his maternal grandparents; Frank and Joyce Shea, and paternal grandparents; Bill and Gertrude Hawkins.
Left to grieve his untimely passing are his mother; Louise Hawkins, his father; Bill, siblings; Russell, Audrey and Nicholas, his aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as countless friends.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Zach’s life at Laughlin Service Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 4:30 PM.
