Yvonne Nicholson Riley Keller age 79 passed away Monday September 8, 2014 at the Pine Meadows Nursing Home.
She was born and reared at Silerton, the daughter of the late Melvin Hathaway and Hessie Fry Rodgers. She attended school at Silerton and married Warren Riley in 1950 and they made their home in the Woodville Community where they farmed. Mr. Riley died in 1976. She worked at ITT in Selmer and later moved to Bolivar and married Gene Keller. She worked at Lucerne Products in Bolivar. Mr. Keller preceded in death and she continued to make her home in Bolivar. She loved quilting and flowers. She was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church.
Mrs. Keller is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Hopper and husband Danny of Henderson; one grandson, Michael Hopper and wife Sharon and two great grandchildren, Madison Hopper and Payton Rowland and a sister, Wanda Wallace of Columbus, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Warren Riley and Gene Keller and two brothers, Bobby Gene Nicholson and A.J. Nicholson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey chapel with Danny Hopper officiating and burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 12 Noon on Wednesday until service time at 2:00 PM Wednesday.
