Photo of Yvonne McCullar Yvonne McCullar, age 78 of Huntsville, formerly of Double Springs, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, Alabama. Yvonne was born on January 9, 1947 in Double Springs to Delmus and Ada Taylor. She loved her family, enjoyed life, and was a devoted grandmother. Yvonne spent her early years working as an administrative assistant for Winston Industries. In her late 30’s she made a lifelong altering decision to go back to college and pursue a career in teaching. She was an honor student at UAB and fulfilled her dream of teaching in Double Springs, later pursuing her EDS and retiring as a principal. After 25 years in education, she then moved to Huntsville to spend her retirement with her grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, March 28, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Double Springs Church of Christ where the service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Vance Hutton officiating. The burial will be at Double Springs Memorial Cemetery. Yvonne is survived by her daughters, Teresa Alexander, Jessica Crooks; brothers, Lewis (Susan) Taylor, Glenn (Teresa) Taylor, Roger Taylor; grandchildren, Jalen (Devon) Green, Kya Crooks, Undrea Crooks; great grandchild, Ivy Green; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deloyd McCullar; son, Michael Carroll; and her parents, Delmus and Ada Taylor.
