Yvette Carol Neely Hunt, age 51 of Winchester, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville. Yvette was born on November 10, 1972, in Pikeville, to Carolyn Elease Wynacht and the late Jerry Edward Neely. She was a 1991 graduate of Huntland High School. She earned her associates degree in 1996 from Motlow Community College and earned her Bachelor of Political Science in 1999 from Middle Tennessee State University. Yvette previously worked for the State of Tennessee as a probation officer and South-Central Human Resource Agency in their Head Start program. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing pool with her friends and more recently spending time outdoors swimming, camping, and fishing. She also enjoyed watching Harry Potter movies. But most of all she loved being a Mammie to her grandchildren. She was a devout Chirstian and currently attends Abundant Life Church. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, Renee Neely and two companions, Robert Thompson and Dwight Brown. Yvette is survived by her mother, Carolyn Wynacht; children, Cole Hunt, Courtney (Chris) Mongeau and Nicholas Hunt; grandchildren, Dexter and Ollie Mongeau and Naomi Hunt; siblings, Edwin (Charity) Neely, Avery (Nancy) Neely and Brad Neely; step-children, Jessica, Daniel, and Amber; several step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 2:00pm from the chapel of Watson Funeral Home. Interment will be in Watson Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
