FLORENCE-Native American Storytelling is an important practice historically and in the present. Stories are shared over generations, teaching the how’s and why’s of the world and keeping Native American culture alive. Join us for a short informational presentation on how storytelling shaped and sustained different Native American cultures of the Southwestern tribes, specifically the Navajo (Dine’), the O’odham, and the Hopi. After the presentation, students will have the opportunity to create their own stories with an interactive storytelling activity.

This program is free and is sponsored by the City of Florence Department of Arts and Museums and the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area.

Join us at the Indian Mound Saturday, July 20th at 10am for the next activity.
