Youell was born on January 27, 1934 in Sulligent, AL to the late Marvin Jackson and Vera Belle Cantrell. After graduating from high school in 1952, he joined the United States Army where he served for two years.

Before working and retiring from Hyster Company in 1996, Youell was a barber and he continued to cut hair in his home after retirement. He leaves this world a better place due to his life’s work and he leaves with the unconditional love of his family and friends.

He was a faithful member of Friendship South Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and song leader. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and Alabama Football. A “people person” if there ever was one, he loved telling stories and jokes.
