Wyvonia (Baccus) Welborn Borden Wyvonia Baccus Welborn Borden, age 87, of Phil Campbell, Alabama passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville, Alabama, with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Mr. James Farr will be officiating. Her burial will be at Liberty Hill Perpetual Southside Cemetery; Hwy 43 South, Phil Campbell, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by parents; James and Estelle Baccus of Ashridge, Alabama in Winston County, siblings: Helen Baccus, Leona Otts, Hazel Thrasher, Christine Defoor, Margene Lewis, Kelly Baccus, William Baccus, Delano Baccus, Ethel Lee Lindley, James N. Baccus, Unita Thorton, Jewel Faye “Judy” Hill, Joan Hood. Nieces preceding her in death were Renee Berry and Anita Baccus. She was preceded in death by her step son-in-law; R. E. Landers and her step granddaughter Emily Landers. Wyvonia Baccus Welborn Borden was the last surviving sibling of Jim and Estelle Baccus’ fourteen children.

She is survived by her husband, L.C. Borden; sons, Dr. David N. Welborn (Gloria), and Phillip K. Welborn; daughter, Ms. Gail Welborn; stepchildren, Donald Borden (Jean), Dianne Landers, and Martha Smith (Mason); Grandchildren, Mr. David B. Welborn (Megan), Mr. Daniel Welborn, Mr. Dustin Welborn (Katie) and great grandsons, Thomas Welborn and William Welborn. She is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and great step grandchildren, plus a host of nieces and nephews.

Family will serve as pallbearers. Special thanks are offered to Hospice of North Alabama, Jessica, Tiona, Kathy, and Brittany for their dedicated professional hospice care.
