Wyketia Parker McTaggart, 65, of Somerville, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home. A celebration of life service to follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Hal Daigre officiating.
Wyketia is survived by her husband, Louis McTaggart; daughters, Gina Bryson (James), Stacy Johnson (Jonnie); stepsons, Ray McTaggart (Judy) and Bill McTaggart (Paula); brother, James “Buddy” Parker (Carolynn); biological grandchildren, Ryder Casteele, Kaylee Rowland (Dakota Werndli) and Asher Johnson; 19 step grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Parker; mother, Mildred Franks Parker; sister, Linda Hudson; brothers, Danny Ray Parker and Jimmy Dale Parker.
Wyketia was born December 25, 1957 in Decatur, AL. She just recently retired from Huntsville Hospital, where she worked for 27 years. She loved and enjoyed her life to the fullest. Wyketia leaves behind a family that meant the world to her. Her kindness and compassion knew no bounds. Her laugh was infectious and she will be deeply missed by all.
