Mrs. Wrennie Fay Sims Flowers, 90, a long-time resident of Giles County, died Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Morning Pointe in Columbia.
Funeral services for Mrs. Flowers will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Donnie Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born on June 30, 1931 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Sims and the late Willie Florence Barnett Sims. On September 5, 1949 she married Joe Robert Flowers and together they owned and operated Flowers Grocery in the Yokley Community. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2006. Mrs. Flowers was retired from GE where she worked in the assembly line. She loved gardening and most of all, loved her family. Mrs. Flowers was a member of the Bethel Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry (Diane) Flowers and Jimmy (Marquetta) Flowers of the Campbellsville Community; grandchildren, Stephanie (Mike) Thomason, Brian (Morgan) Flowers, Brandon (Marie) Flowers, and Lacy (Paul) Stafford; great grandchildren, Matthew (Darian) Langford, Braxton Langford, Shane Thomason, Sophie Stafford, Jack Stafford, Lily Stafford, Cole Flowers, Reese Flowers, and Anna Flowers; great – great grandchildren, Emery, Bentley, and Peyton Langford; brother, Wendell Sims; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bailey Sims; and sister, Blanch Smith.
Pallbearers will be Brian Flowers, Brandon Flowers, Matthew Langford, Braxton Langford, Paul Stafford, Jack Stafford, Cole Flowers, Mike Thomason and Shane Thomason.
