Barthel Barton, age 87 of Nauvoo, Alabama passed away May 19, 2024 at his home. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Nauvoo.
Visitation will be Friday, May 24, 2024 from Noon to 1:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with John Pinion and Joe Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Barton is survived by his wife, Shirley McNutt Barton, children, Karen Barton, Shelia Norris, Ronald D. (Julie) Clark, Sonya (Jeff) Harris and Tammy (Travis) Cothran; brother, Edward Barton; sister, Faye B. (Dalton) Thrasher; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Luvena Barton; son, Ricky Barthel Barton; grandson, Seth Dexter Ergle; sisters, Velma Chambless, Bernice Banks, Perlie Pickard, Clara Benson, Imogene Mann and JoAnn Barton.
