Woodville Man Struck By Vehicle; Charged With Pedestrian Under The Influence

WOODVILLE-On Wednesday, January 20 the Alabama Law enforcement Agency issued a statement concerning a pedestrian being struck and taken to hospital with injuries:

A one-vehicle crash at approximately 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, has left a Woodville man injured.  

Jeremy Edward Bates, 39, was walking in the roadway when he was struck by a 2017 Nissan Rogue. Bates was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, and he was charged with Pedestrian Under the Influence.

The crash occurred on Alabama 35 near Little Arkansas Road, within the Woodville town limits.  Nothing further is available as the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate.”
